Cory's Corner: Three Subtractions That Need To Be Made

Now is the time when people like to fill out Packers wish lists.

They hopelessly throw free agent names around like Green Bay general manager Brian Gutekunst is doing bargain shopping at Target.

But in a salary-capped sport, in order to make an addition, there needs to be a subtraction. It just so happens that I have three.

First and foremost is Preston Smith. He played 97 percent of his defenive snaps on the defensive line and barely made an impact. He averaged 2.6 tackles and 0.7 quarterback hits a game. On the plus side, the sixth-year pro played in every game, but it was hard to tell if he was on the field.
