Cory's Corner: Packers Must Get Kenny Vaccaro

Mike Pettine’s defense stresses versatility from the safety position and that’s exactly what Vaccaro exudes. He’s a safety/hybrid linebacker that isn’t afraid to get his nose dirty at the line of scrimmage.

Even if Brice’s injury isn’t as bad as everyone thought, bringing in Vaccaro will add more depth to a safety position that is currently relying on second-year man Josh Jones to fill Morgan Burnett’s shoes.

Vaccaro played 87 percent of the Saints’ snaps last year and has played 94 percent of defensive snaps in his five-year career. He has averaged nearly six quarterback hurries a season with 61 tackles a year.
