The Packers won 13 games last year and advanced to the NFC title game. With all of that success, it may be easy to think that sitting back and being content would be the obvious choice.
But that isn’t what Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst has done.
Since Sept. 4, the Packers have brought in five new players. That’s a huge number of guys — especially for an organization that traditionally hasn’t filled the transaction wire.
You can say that the reason this is happening is because of Aaron Rodgers. Part of that may be true, but remember, Rodgers’ influence was the impetus in bringing back Randall Cobb to Green Bay.
