Many Green Bay Packers were hoping that the team would call the name of Iowa defensive back Cooper DeJean, who ultimately was drafted 40th by the Philadelphia Eagles, in the first round of the draft. Apparently, DeJean was anticipating that he’d be on the team’s radar, too.
In a recently published YouTube video, DeJean showed a behind-the-scenes look at his draft day experience. Unfortunately, that included a prank caller who tried to ruin his big moment. Someone, pretending to be “Brian” (i.e. Gutkunst, general manager) from the Packers pranked called DeJean several times on Day 1 of the draft, attempting to convince DeJean that the team was selecting him.
