Ty Montgomery: Oh the drama... I spent most of Sunday night dissecting Mike McCarthy's comments on the situation after the game. As I went to bed that night, I was fairly certain that Montgomery was not specifically told on the field to take a knee, but rather that it was "the plan" and something he should have known given the situation.
Then Monday morning, an article by NFL.com's Mike Silver turned everything on its head, implying that according to several Packers players and coaches (who spoke anonymously, of course) Montgomery was pissed at being taken out of the previous series and purposely ignored "the plan.
