If one were to ask scouts and media members to pick which wide receiver made himself the most money on Thursday night at the 2020 NFL Scouting Combine, Chase Claypool would be the number one answer in most cases. The Notre Dame wide receiver faced questions about his size heading into on-field workouts, as his 6-foot-4, 238-pound frame made many NFL scouts wonder about his fit in the league.
But on the turf at Lucas Oil Stadium, Claypool made one of the earliest and loudest statements, running a blistering 4.42-second 40-yard dash. He followed that up with tremendous results in the explosion drills as well, demonstrating that no position change is necessary whatsoever.
