Football is back today as we begin week 9 of the NFL schedule with a Thursday Night Football game that holds barely a sliver of the excitement and anticipation of last week’s Green Bay Packers-Arizona Cardinals game. Instead of two of the best teams in the NFC going at it, this week’s TNF contest features a pair of struggling AFC teams trying to claw back to relevance — or at least back towards .500.
The New York Jets come into tonight’s game riding a bit of a high, however, after backup quarterback Mike White led them to a victory over the Cincinnati Bengals last week.
