On Sunday, the Minnesota Vikings defeated the Green Bay Packers 27-25 for their first sweep over Green Bay since 2017.
Sam Darnold had a career day, passing for 377 yards and three touchdowns, each one to a different receiver: First to Jalen Nailor, then Jordan Addison, and finally Cam Akers.
The Vikings defense stifled Jordan Love and the Packers, as Love didn’t pass the 50 yard mark until midway through the third quarter. A first quarter fumble forced by the Vikings defense set the tone for the rest of the day.
“We looked at this game like a mano-a-mano game,” said Vikings safety Cam Bynum.
