Former Green Bay Packers great Jerry Kramer laughed loudly when he explained why he'll be cheering against the Kansas City Chiefs in their bid for a third consecutive Super Bowl title.
Kramer and surviving teammates of the 1965-67 Packers said they want the football-watching public to know that — as Kansas City seeks to be the first three-peat Super Bowl winner — the Chiefs wouldn’t be the first back-to-back-to-back NFL champion.
The Packers won the first two Super Bowls and the NFL’s final title game before it merged with the American Football League.
"I've been watching for the whole [NFL] season and not rooting for the Chiefs," Kramer, a Hall of Fame offensive lineman and kicker on those championship teams, said as he laughed.
