Chiefs CB Phillip Gaines hurts knee, leaves Packers game (The Associated Press)

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Cornerback Phillip Gaines has been knocked out of Kansas City's game at Green Bay with a knee injury, further depleting a thin position for the Chiefs.

The second-year player got hurt with 2:23 left in the first quarter during a 3-yard scramble by Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers to the Chiefs 3. Gaines went down away from the play in the back of the end zone.

The injury left the Chiefs with just three active cornerbacks.

For the Packers, receiver Davante Adams re-aggravated a left ankle injury and hobbled off the field after Green Bay's first series on Monday night.
