Chief says he relented on releasing cash, truck to Packers' Letroy Guion

The police chief in Starke, Fla., said he gave up the legal fight for Green Bay Packers defensive end Letroy Guion's truck and $190,000 in cash because it was taking up too many resources in his small department and added "it was time" to end it for the benefit of everyone involved.

The new Dodge Ram pickup, valued at $70,000, and the cash were seized after a traffic stop when officers stopped Guion and found three-quarters of a pound of marijuana, the cash and an unloaded gun in a case under his seat.
