GREEN BAY, Wis. - No NFL running back had played more snaps this season than Ty Montgomery and no Green Bay Packers' skill position player had touched the ball more than him during the first three games of the season.
Yet the Packers lost him on the opening drive of Thursday night's game against the Bears when he sustained a chest injury and was ruled out shortly after play resumed following a 47-minute weather delay.
Entering Week 4, Montgomery had played 23 more snaps than the second-most-used back, Dallas' Ezekiel Elliott, and had 39.
