It’s not common that you see a Mike Zimmer defense look confused. The veteran head coach and former defensive coordinator has been a thorn in the Green Bay Packers’ side for years, and especially so for Aaron Rodgers.
Over the years, Zimmer has arguably been the defensive mind who has kept Rodgers in check the best. But on Sunday, the Packers put their 2020 offense on full display against the Minnesota Vikings. The frequent use of motions, play-action, and creative formations seemed to have the Vikings’ defense mixed up consistently, leading to the Packers’ first 40-point performance since 2014.
