Cheese Curds, 8/23: Packers’ young receivers fight through preseason adversity

The Green Bay Packers have no shortage of talent and athleticism at the wide receiver position. A few of the young, promising receivers have speed to burn - think Trevor Davis and Jeff Janis. Others have impressive physical frames (DeAngelo Yancey at 6’1” and 220 pounds) or great leaping ability (Malachi Dupre and his 39.5-inch-vertical).

However, each of these players has dealt with significant adversity in their preseasons this year, perhaps except for Janis. Even Janis had his own issues last year, when he missed the whole preseason with a broken hand.
