In 2018, the Green Bay Packers selected a fast, talented cornerback in the first round of the NFL Draft. In his first training camp, the elite pairing of Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams picked on him a bit, attacking the youngster in the hopes of spurring him on to develop quickly.

It worked for Jaire Alexander then, so why not try it again with Eric Stokes in 2021?

There’s nothing wrong with giving a rookie a lesson early on in his first training camp — in fact, it’s surely better for those teachable moments to take place in practice against teammates than in real game action once the regular season begins.
