Cheese Curds, 8/16: Packers look for more success from young defensive players

After a relatively successful 2018 opener, the Green Bay Packers’ defense is showing signs of promise. That is particularly true for a handful of first- and second-year pros on that side of the football, and tonight’s second preseason game will be a perfect opportunity to demonstrate that they can keep that success going.

Linebacker Oren Burks and cornerback Josh Jackson led their position groups in snaps last week, with Burks leading the way among all Packers defenders. Montravius Adams had a few particularly impressive plays. And Ahmad Thomas is demonstrating why the team’s coaches have been excited about him as he vies for a roster spot.
