2020 continues to be the strangest year in recent memory, and recent days have raised more and more questions about whether American sports can resume or, in the NFL’s case, get underway safely. Several college athletic departments are seeing waves of positive COVID-19 cases, with the Clemson and LSU football teams being hit particularly hard.
On Friday, another NFL-related case came up, with a San Francisco 49ers player testing positive. That player was one of a group of Niners players who were working out together in the Nashville area, and players in that group are now self-quarantining in Tennessee.
