While July carries little NFL excitement until training camps begin late in the month, the NFL supplemental draft has arrived to provide some news. Usually, the players eligible for selection carry little intrigue, but the 2018 class has multiple highly coveted defensive backs. That could interest the Green Bay Packers, even though the team spent multiple picks on the secondary each of the last two years.
By the time you read this, the supplemental draft might have already kicked off. Unlike the regular draft, the selections work more like a silent auction. And while the main attractions this year play in the secondary, the Packers could still have some interest in spending some of their 2019 draft capital there.
