Cheese Curds, 5/4: Josh Jones should be the Packers’ new Swiss Army knife

During the lead-up to the 2017 NFL Draft, the versatile safety on most draftniks’ minds was Jabrill Peppers from Michigan. A man without a true position, Peppers played basically every position in the Wolverines’ back seven on defense as well as returning punts and playing some running back as well.

However, one player who seemingly didn’t get enough recognition for his versatility is NC State’s Josh Jones is now a Green Bay Packer after being selected 61st overall. Jones, who at 6’1” and 220 pounds is quite a bit bigger than the 5’11”, 213-pound Peppers, which should help him when he lines up in the box.
