It has been 14 years since the Green Bay Packers welcomed another NFL team to their practice field. However, Matt LaFleur is bringing a host of changes to the team as its new head coach, and that appears to be one of them.
LaFleur made a handful of headlines on Tuesday at the NFL’s annual meeting, but some of the most notable involve the team’s plans for practices, both in training camp and in the regular season.
Mike McCarthy changed up the team’s weekly schedule about five years ago, giving players off two days before games (usually on Fridays) with a quick but intense practice on the day before the game.
