As free agency officially enters its second week, the Green Bay Packers’ general manager is exactly where many of the team’s fans would expect: out on the road and scouting draft prospects.
No, we’re not talking about Ted Thompson, who spent the last decade-plus at the helm of the Packers’ front office. Brian Gutekunst is now the GM, but he’s out on the road along with several other GMs from around the league this week taking a look at some of the top players in this year’s NFL Draft class.
While Gutekunst makes the rounds, however, the Packers lost a key backup and special teams contributor to a free agent contract elsewhere.
