With the NFL Combine nonexistent this year, it’s going to be a little tougher for those involved in NFL media to drum up storylines heading into the draft. Interviews with draft prospects and team officials are one of the highlights of the event for the media in attendance, even more so than the on-field drills that dominate the discussion later on in the week.
This year, those interviews won’t take place, but neither will drills at Lucas Oil Stadium. One NFL.com writer feels that the Combine’s on-field work is fast becoming irrelevant, however:
