If a new report is to be believed, all 32 teams in the National Football League will be saying “talk data to me” to each other.
In what would amount to a monumental and potentially revolutionary project, the league will apparently start sharing player-tracking data from games during the 2016 and 2017 season. This will result in a massive amount of information being thrown at teams and it will likely take quite some time to process, but this could radically alter how teams evaluate talent.
As for how this will benefit the Green Bay Packers, this should be music to new general manager Brian Gutekunst’s ears.
