One of the last big pieces of information that NFL teams will need to plan out their offseasons is almost set.
On Wednesday, the NFL informed teams in a memo of the expected range for the salary cap for the 2025 season. Last year’s base cap number was $255.4 million, and the general expectation for the 2025 cap was in the range of $272.5 million.
Instead, the expected number is even higher than that — by at least five million dollars, and perhaps more. That means the Packers, who were already expecting to have more than $40 million in salary cap space, will have still more money to work with this offseason.
