Pettine was out, to begin with — there’s no doubt about that.

Now the Green Bay Packers embark on the most important set of coaching interviews since head coach Matt LaFleur put together his first staff two years ago. In fact, LaFleur’s staff was remarkably consistent from 2019 to 2020, with few significant changes across the roster — Jerry Gray’s addition as defensive backs coach last offseason being the only real notable change.

But now the Packers face a tough call to replace Pettine, and they are reportedly casting a wide net for his successor.
