The Green Bay Packers have constantly had questions swirling around the organization lately, particularly around the status and future of general manager Ted Thompson. All the cards are held by Thompson and Packers president Mark Murphy, and we finally get to hear from the boss this week.
And the message from Murphy? There is no message. In fact, although he still maintains that he has plans for succeeding Thompson, he says the plans are fluid and are subject to change. One of those changes could have come this year, as both Eliot Wolf and Brian Gutekunst were up for GM jobs elsewhere, but chose to return to Green Bay for another year.
