Cheese Curds, 1/3: Now would be a good time for Green Bay’s pass rush to show up

There have been short spurts of production from the Green Bay Packers’ pass rush this season, but nothing that could remotely be considered consistency. It may surprise readers to know that the Packers have recorded 44 sacks this season, good for 7th-most in the NFL, and that their 7.6% sack rate ranks closely in 9th.

But when one considers that 15 of those 44 sacks have come in two games — eight against the Titans in week 3 and seven in Seattle in week 15 — it puts the lack of consistency in the spotlight. In the other 14 games, the Packers have just 29 sacks and a sack rate of just 6.
