As Senior Bowl week rolls along, the Green Bay Packers’ football staff are split in two. The coaching staff was formally introduced on Wednesday, with new coordinators Mike Pettine and Joe Philbin speaking to the media for the first time in Green and Gold.
(Okay, this wasn’t Philbin’s first go-around with Packers media, but it was his first presser of his newest tenure with the team.)
For Pettine, it’s clear that the job he has now is where he feels most comfortable. After “not being able to smell smells and see colors” (his words) following his stint as the Cleveland Browns’ head coach, Pettine can get back to focusing on what he does best: designing a defense.
