Cheese Curds, 12/30: Packers can match top teams, but only when playing ‘A’ game

The Green Bay Packers’ five losses this season have come at the hands of the top three teams in the NFC, teams that currently have a combined 40-7 record. And in four of those five games, the Packers have been within five points and had a legitimate chance to win the game at the end.

That alone demonstrates that the Packers — when at their best — can stack up with the Lions, Vikings, and Eagles and should be able to beat any of them. The problem in each of those games is that the Packers simply have not played an “A” game at any point, with mistakes costing them dearly in each of those close losses.
