Aaron Rodgers has performed the football equivalent of miracles in the past. Hail Mary touchdowns, absurd escapes of the pocket, impossible throws on the run — all have seemingly become routine for the Green Bay Packers quarterback.
But “savior” isn’t a title that Rodgers will be embracing this season.
In his first lengthy public comments to the media as he prepares to return to the football field, Rodgers discussed how he sees his role on the team upon his return, and dismissed any notion of him returning to save the team. Instead, he is focusing on the team as a whole playing better (with his help, of course), and running the table a second straight time to get a shot at the postseason.
