Cheese Curds, 11/14: On Elgton Jenkins’ impressive start & Packers’ bye week plans

The Green Bay Packers of the past decade have a nice history of rookies starting on the offensive line. Bryan Bulaga came in at right tackle when Mark Tauscher went down in 2010. David Bakhtiari took the left tackle job in 2013 when Bulaga tore his ACL. And Corey Linsley didn’t miss a beat in 2014, grabbing the center job when JC Tretter was injured.

This year, Elgton Jenkins is that guy. The second-round draft pick has done almost everything right since taking over at left guard for Lane Taylor, and the Packers have seemingly locked in most of their line for the next few years.
