Seeing Dontayvion Wicks running free with open grass all around him has become a common sight for Green Bay Packers fans this season. The second-year pro had a very nice rookie season in 2023, catching 39 passes for 581 yards and four touchdowns. Now into year two, Wicks is a bit of a ways off last year’s pace, which is largely due to some issues with drops.
As for his route-running abilities? Those are not in question, and Jordan Love — who is not shy about throwing to open receivers, whoever they are — noticed it on Sunday when he threw 13 passes in Wicks’ direction.
