Green Bay — Be careful with your wording around Casey Hayward. He does not merely expect to "compete" for a starting spot. The Green Bay Packers cornerback wants much more than that.
"I expect to win that job," Hayward said. "And not just win the outside job, I want to become the No. 1 corner....That's the goal with me: push to be the No. 1 corner."
With both Tramon Williams (Cleveland) and Davon House (Jacksonville) gone, Hayward might be the most important player in the Packers' secondary heading into training camp. He's not an unproven commodity.
