Green Bay’s new defensive coordinator met the press for the first time since his hiring a couple of weeks ago, but Jeff Hafley stopped short of saying what many fans wanted most to hear. After three seasons of watching Joe Barry playing corners off the line of scrimmage on third and short, and sticking stubbornly to three and four man pass rushes, the green and gold faithful probably wanted the new defensive boss to proclaim the Packers would press receivers at the line every play, and blitz like crazy.
While admitting that “I like to press people”, Hafley would not commit to any firm decisions yet as to how the Packers would play on that side of the ball.
