The Cleveland Browns are just about set for their preseason opener against the Green Bay Packers on Saturday afternoon. Ahead of that matchup, however, the Browns have had a busy week churning the bottom of their roster.
This is mostly due to the injuries they are dealing with along their defensive line and in their linebacker room. With the starters set to play very minimally, they need these bottom-of-the-roster guys to eat up many snaps against the Packers. This also gives them the ability to prove their worth to the Browns and the other 31 teams, should they fail to make the 53-man roster in Cleveland.
