We're barely into 2020 free agency, and already Packers GM Brian Gutekunst is making moves, bringing in former Browns ILB Christian Kirksey on a two-year, $18 million deal with just over $4 million guaranteed, and former Lions RT Ricky Wagner (a former Badger) to another low-risk two-year deal.
Russ Ball made some smart moves with these contracts. If either Kirksey or Wagner flame out, they can easily be released after one year, as the structure of the contracts essentially makes them one-year deals with a second-year option due to low guaranteed money. Low risk pickups at positions of need.
