The Green Bay Packers will have a long snapper after all, it appears. That guy will be their former long snapper Brett Goode.
Goode will reportedly be re-signed on Sunday.
The Packers released their other long snapper, Rick Lovato, in the cutdown to 53 on Saturday. This, of course, means that someone who made the team on Saturday will be off of it on Sunday.
Goode was the Packers’ long snapper from 2008 through last season, when he tore his ACL in December. The Packers brought in Lovato to replace him and there was really no discernible change in terms of performance.
