The Packers added to their group of running backs with the selection of Dexter Williams during the sixth round at 194th overall. Williams is the second skill player the team has plucked from Notre Dame with Equanimeous St. Brown getting picked last year.
Williams missed the first four games of the 2018 season for violating team rules which hurt his production. Through nine games, he finished with 995 yards and 13 touchdowns (12 rush).
Standing 5-11 212 pounds, Williams is a workhorse that showed flashes of being a productive every-down back. He put up solid numbers at the NFL Combine, but struggles with change of direction and eluding tacklers.
