SÃO PAULO – Matt LaFleur introduced himself to the nation of Brazil before Thursday morning’s practice at Corinthians Training Grounds, practice facility for the popular local soccer team Corinthians. He had enough time on the 10-hour flight from Wisconsin to São Paulo to learn how to greet a room full of Brazilian media.
“Bom dia,” LaFleur said, welcoming local reporters with “good morning” in the native Portuguese.
LaFleur started to share how pleased he is for the Green Bay Packers to be playing Friday night in Brazil against the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFL’s first game in South America.
