Bob Schnelker served 10 years as an assistant coach with the Packers under five different head coaches: Vince Lombardi, Phil Bengtson, Dan Devine, Bart Starr and Forrest Gregg. When Starr hired Schnelker to be his offensive coordinator, the Packers’ offense had been in shambles for more than a decade. Ten times in 12 years it had finished in the bottom six in the NFL in total yards.
