The league officially announced a couple big changes to its lineup of head referees for the 2018 season.
As had been previously reported toward the end of the season, Jeff Triplette is retiring from refereeing after more than 20 years in the league. He will be joined by constant fan favorite Ed Hochuli, who has also decided to call it quits and enjoy retirement from his weekly dissertations penalty explanations.
From the NFL's official announcement:
"Hochuli, 67, had worked as an NFL official since 1990, making his league debut as a back judge during a preseason game in Green Bay.
