The Chicago Bears have made a surprise addition to their list of head coaching candidates, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter: Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich. Stenavich has not previously been interviewed for head coaching openings, but the Bears have cast a wide net in their search for their new head coach.
Stenavich came to Green Bay in 2019, in Matt LaFleur’s first year as head coach, as an offensive line coach. He held that role for two seasons before being promoted to the run game coordinator role in 2021.
In 2022, then-offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett left to take over as the head coach of the Denver Broncos.
