The Chicago Bears lost a heartbreaker to the Green Bay Packers, 20-19, on a blocked field goal attempt by Cairo Santos from 46 yards. There's been plenty of criticism about how head coach Matt Eberflus handled that final sequence.
After rookie quarterback Caleb Williams came up clutch on the final series, the Bears were positioned to snap their 10-game losing streak to the Packers. Instead of running another play to try and make it an easier attempt -- because a 46-yarder is no sure thing -- Eberflus opted to play it safe and ran the clock out and let Santos attempt the kick, which was blocked after Green Bay broke through the interior line.
