Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune, citing a league source, reports that the Bears have denied a request from the Bengals to interview DC Vic Fangio.
While the Bears have blocked a meeting with the Bengals for now, it’s worth mentioning that Fangio will be a free agent in the coming days and will be able to meet with teams on his own.
According to Biggs, the Packers are also expected to have interest in Fangio for their defensive coordinator job.
Biggs says that Fangio remains in the mix for the Bears’ head-coaching job and multiple sources have indicated that Chicago has potential interest in retaining Fangio, even if they hire someone else as their next head coach.
