Bay Area legend Aaron Rodgers calls out Cal for last-minute Jeff Tedford tribute

“Probably deserves more than a last minute thrown together between quarter wave,” Green Bay Packers quarterback and Cal alumnus Aaron Rodgers tweeted in response. “Coach is a legend, and the reason myself and so many came and thrived @Cal #MyCoach #RespectForALegend #GoBears.”

Rodgers is one of 40 players during Tedford’s 11 seasons as Cal’s head coach who made it to the NFL. That list also includes wide receiver DeSean Jackson and running back Marshawn Lynch. Tedford also racked up numerous school records: 82 wins, five bowl wins, 50 conference victories, and 139 games coached. But, by the last couple year of his tenure, the program started to fizzle out.
