There’s no unique skill involved with completing Hail Mary passes, aside from being able to throw a football a long way. There’s a tremendous amount of luck involved in connecting on any desperation throw to the end zone.
Unless you’re Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, apparently.
Rodgers, who threw a Hail Mary to beat the Detroit Lions last season and threw another to send a playoff game against the Arizona Cardinals to overtime, somehow did it again. At the end of the first half in a wild-card playoff game against the New York Giants, Rodgers hit another Hail Mary pass.
