Mulumba has visited or will visit with the New England Patriots and the Kansas City Chiefs. The Packers, who Mulumba played his first four NFL seasons with, appear ready to move on.
That’s not totally surprising.
The Packers chose not to tender Mulumba a restricted free agent offer after the season, making him an unrestricted free agent. That was expected, considering the minimum one-year offer was $1.671 million and Mulumba somehow only managed to play 59 snaps in 2015.
He did that despite being healthy all season.
There had been speculation that the Packers would give Mulumba a one-year veteran’s minimum deal to return.
