The Green Bay Packers continued to remake their running-backs depth chart during the NFL Draft by taking Southern Cal’s MarShawn Lloyd in the third round on April 26.
This offseason, the Packers released running back Aaron Jones, who had been Green Bay’s leading rusher in five of the past six seasons, and signed former NFL rushing champion Josh Jacobs.
The Packers also retained AJ Dillon, who led Green Bay in rushing the season in which Jones didn’t.
Packers offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich said this week that Jacobs was signed to be an every-down running back.
