Aaron Rodgers looked sharp early as the New York Jets played host to the New England Patriots at MetLife Stadium on Thursday.
The former Green Bay Packers great found one of his former teammates in the NFC North for a touchdown to give the Jets a 7-0 lead after the PAT.
Rodgers hit Allen Lazard with a quick pass and the wideout did the rest despite the Jets’ secondary trying to rip off his shirt.
To that point, Rodgers was 7-of-8 passing.
The 10-yard scoring play capped an eight-play, 73-uard drive.
The ex-Packers had combined for two TD passes in a Week One loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
