GREEN BAY, Wis. -- For about three hours Tuesday evening, T.J. Lang kept the big news largely to himself. After all, he wasn’t even sure he believed it. He’d been named to his first Pro Bowl team, in his eighth NFL season -- an honor he thought would never come.
So, he told his wife, Laura. He told their children, J.J. and Lia -- although they didn’t quite grasp the accomplishment. And then, the Green Bay Packers veteran right guard fell silent. He knew a torrent of congratulatory text messages and phone calls would begin soon enough, once the selections were officially announced.
